Change to DB:

1968-11-29 Richmond Athletic Ground, Richmond, England

(not Richmond Athletic CLUB; they were two distinctly different venues)

BTW, a fan claims this gig was cancelled.

Following changes will be reflected in Version 1.1

Renamed venue 'Richmond Athletic Club' to 'Richmond Athletic Ground'
Flagged Nov 29th 1968 as a 'disputed' date.

BTW, I forgot to include the 11/23/68 Melody Maker ad which clearly says the Richmond Athletic Ground:

Here are two photos of the Richmond Athletic Ground:

BUMP---

YO,

It looks like the db still has the venue listed as Crawdaddy "Club" instead of Crawdaddy Richmond Athletic Ground (they were two distinctly different venues).

I thought that the venue was the 'Crawdaddy Club' which was at the 'Richmond Athletic Ground'?

No, they're separate venues.

There's a photo of the Crawdaddy club at the bottom of this page:

So what does 'Crawdaddy' on the Zeppelin ad refer to?

The Crawdaddy Club was first hosted at the venue Mike linked (Station Hotel), and then moved to the Richmond Athletic Ground

Yup, I have read that before.

Mike, I think that the Crawdaddy Club is the correct club name for the Zeppelin performance and I have the Richmond Athletic Ground as the locale. Now perhaps an argument could be made that I should switch those two and make the Athletic Ground the venue and the Crawdaddy the locale.
